Are you looking for a New Kawai Upright Piano at a Spectacular Price?
This will tell you why a great advancement in piano technology can save you thousands of dollars on a brand New Kawai Piano.
Take a few minutes and read this …..
While preparing for this event we have just discovered some Kawai Vari-Touch Control pianos in our warehouse, and during this event we are offering them at substantial savings. These pianos are unique in that they are built to the same quality specifications as all Kawai pianos, but include the exclusive Vari-touch mechanism. I’ll explain more about the features and spec’s of the Vari-touch system in just a bit, but here is why we are selling these outstanding pianos at a great price.
You can tell from our website that we deliver our pianos directly from our warehouse in Naperville. What you may not know is that we also provide pianos to Columbia College as well as the Thelonius Monk Institute at Gallery 37 in Chicago, and if you read our ads, or hear our radio commercials, you might also know that we handle a lot of special events directly for Kawai America in this market. So, long story short we are moving a lot of pianos through that warehouse. Well on a recent visit we ‘discovered’ that we had (5) VT118 pianos in oak, (4) VT118 in ebony, and (1) VT132 in ebony neatly arranged in a far corner of the warehouse.
Now I will be honest with you. The VT series has not exactly set the American piano market on fire, and it’s failure to catch on with the American public is somewhat of a mystery to the Kawai Executives.
Why are they baffled? Because they tell us that the VT series is a hot item in Asia and Europe. We thought that the Asia and Europe story might be just that- a story. So when we recently visited Japan to tour the Kawai factories and retail piano stores we specifically talked to the retail salesmen in the Japanese stores about the VT series and how they were selling. Well, somewhat to our surprise, the “cover story’ was true. Kawai's VT series is extremely popular everywhere- but in the US. And nobody knows why us Americans just don’t take to it. Maybe we don't like the looks of the polished brass lever located way over on the left side of the keys.

So while we keep moving the hot sellers in and out of the warehouse, the VT series just kept getting moved further back in the warehouse until they temporarily became forgotten- UNTIL NOW. As we prepared for our big Warehouse Event we discovered these wonderful instruments.
Here is your chance to purchase one of the best selling pianos in Asia and Europe for a song- so to speak. While the VT132 ( we have only 1 left) is no longer being distributed in the US, the VT118 is still a current model at the Kawai factories.
Here’s the deal.
If you want a quality piano, and you want to save a little extra money, the VT118 might just be what you’re after. Remember this piano has a 10 year warranty and is a top seller everywhere in the world but here. We have put one of each model on our sales floor so you can see it, but the rest are still in the original factory boxes in our warehouse.
Now it’s time for us to move these pianos out of our warehouse and into a loving home.
Take a look at Kawai’s UST9 and the UST8 pianos, and you will discover a lot of similarities. We can’t say they are the same piano and we won’t say they are the same piano, but the UST9 and the UST8 give you a pretty good point of reference.
Now, while they last, you can purchase one of these pianos for considerably less that what the flagship UST9 would sell for. These are big pianos. So if you are looking for a small piano they are not for you. The UST9, UST8 and the VT118 are designed to provide the player with the sound of a baby-grand in a small upright footprint. In fact the strings are actually longer than some baby grands.
If you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime deal on a piano this is it! Now you can give yourself or your family a big piano, with all the quality features that go into a Kawai upright for less than you would expect to pay. And remember, if you don’t want to use the Vari-touch feature, don’t use it! You still would have what the Americans would call a ‘regular piano’.
If this sounds interesting to you, and you would like to save a few bucks, then be sure to check out the VT series pianos when you visit our showroom. Compete details and specifications follow, but remember we only have a few of these pianos left. And there will not be any special orders at these prices- just stock on hand. Remember the VT132, and the VT118 have a full 10 Year Kawai warranty, and they are NEW.
So now that you know the history of why we are selling these so cheap, here is the rest of the story…….

Experienced pianists will tell you that all pianos are different. Each instrument has its own unique way of responding to a player's touch. Some feel lighter, others heavier... and the differences can be quite dramatic. Many hours of careful adjustments by a skilled technician can make a piano feel "just right" for a specific player. But if several pianists want to use the same piano, it would be impossible to please everyone... until now.
With the Vari-Touch Piano from Kawai, just slide the Variable Touch Control lever to adjust the feel of the piano to suit the way you play. At home or in the practice room, it gives everyone the ability to find the touch that is right for them.
FOR THE NOVICE
For children and beginning players who are still developing strength at the piano, the Vari-Touch Piano is an ideal choice. By adjusting the Vari-Touch to a lighter setting the keys move more easily... allowing them to practice longer with greater comfort and enjoyment.
FOR THE EXPERT
The Vari-Touch Piano is the perfect rehearsal piano for the skilled player. Never worry about making the adjustment from the practice room to the concert hall. Set the Vari-Touch Piano to simulate the touch of your performance piano and the transition will be seamless.
FOR THE MUSIC SCHOOL
In an institutional environment with multiple practice rooms, students won't have to wait around until their favorite piano becomes available. With its variable touch settings, the Vari-Touch Piano will become everyone's favorite.
EASY TO USE, LOW MAINTENANCE
Adjusting the Vari-Touch setting is easy! Simply slide the lever to gradually adjust the feel of the piano from light to firm and everything in between. The changes instantaneous, with no special tools or disassembly required. And no special maintenance is necessary.
