What Is a Silent Piano?
A Real Acoustic Piano.
With a Quiet Side.
A silent piano is still a real acoustic piano. Play it normally and you hear the natural sound of the instrument. Switch to Silent Mode and the acoustic sound is stopped, while sensors capture your playing and reproduce the piano sound through headphones.
You keep the familiar touch and response of an acoustic piano—with the freedom to practice privately whenever you choose.
NORMAL ACOUSTIC PLAYING
Hear your piano naturally.
SILENT MODE
Only you hear the performance.
PEARL RIVER QU2 INTELLIGENT SYSTEM
One System. Two Ways to Go Silent.
The Pearl River QU2 Intelligent System brings digital capabilities to a traditional acoustic piano while preserving the touch and playing experience of the acoustic instrument.
Play your piano normally when you want its natural acoustic sound. Switch to Silent Mode when you want to practice privately through headphones. QU2 also adds digital sounds and connected features that expand what your acoustic piano can do.
Available with a New Pearl River or Ritmüller
Choose a new Pearl River or Ritmüller acoustic piano with the QU2 Intelligent System installed. You get the acoustic piano you want, with silent playing and digital capabilities integrated into the instrument.
Add QU2 to Your Existing Piano

MORE THAN SILENT PLAYING
Your Acoustic Piano. With More Possibilities.
QU2 does more than let you practice privately. Its intelligent system adds digital sounds, learning and recording tools, wireless connectivity, and an easy-to-use touchscreen interface—all while your piano remains a traditional acoustic instrument.
