Pearl River GP150 Prodigy Player

5′ 3″ Classic Mid-Sized Player Sysem Grand Piano • Traditional Series

The Pearl River GP150 Prodigy Player piano is a 4-foot 11-inch "baby grand" that masterfully merges classic acoustic craftsmanship with modern entertainment technology. This instrument combines the charm and tone of a traditional grand piano with the innovative, factory-installed PianoDisc Prodigy player system, allowing it to magically play itself with nuanced performances and full orchestral accompaniment.

The Acoustic Grand Piano Experience

The foundation of this instrument is the popular Pearl River GP150 grand piano, known for maximizing sound quality in a compact footprint through clever design features.

  • Tapered Soundboard: It features an all-spruce, solid-core tapered soundboard, optimized for flexibility and vibration, resulting in a rich, resonant tone and wide dynamic range.

  • Wide-Tail Design: The innovative "wide-tail" design expands the area in the bass section, producing a fuller, deeper sound typically found in larger grand pianos.

  • Quality Components: The piano includes durable features like a sand-cast iron plate, an extruded aluminum action rail, and multi-ply maple pin block to ensure structural strength and excellent tuning stability.

The Prodigy Player System

The virtually invisible Prodigy system offers a high-tech player piano experience without detracting from the instrument's classic beauty.

  • Expressive Playback: Utilizing PianoDisc's SilentDrive HD technology, the system delivers an impressive 1,024 levels of expression, faithfully reproducing the subtle dynamics, speed, and nuances of professional artists' original performances.

  • Seamless Control: The system is controlled wirelessly via an iOS or Android iQ Player App on your smartphone or tablet, offering a simple interface to select music and adjust volume.

  • Connectivity and Library: Features multiple connectivity options including Bluetooth, USB, and MIDI 5-pin DIN for integration with external sound systems. It comes with a complimentary music library and access to thousands more songs and streaming radio services online.

  • Professional Features: Unlike many pianos of this size, the GP150 comes standard with a full sostenuto middle pedal for classic control. The player system can also be upgraded with an optional ProRecord X optical recording feature to capture your own musical creations.
