Superior Sound & Components

The Pearl River GP160SP is built with premium materials typically reserved for much higher-priced instruments, ensuring an inspiring and high-quality musical experience.TheGP160SP

  • Tapered Soundboard: The piano features an all-spruce, solid-core tapered soundboard, which allows for improved flexibility and movement, resulting in a greater dynamic range and enhanced sustain across all registers.

  • Strings and Hammers: It is equipped with genuine German Röslau wire strings for a clear and consistent sound. The PR 2.0 hammers feature premium German felt over a rare hornbeam wood core, contributing to the piano's responsive touch and rich tone.

  • Duplex Scaling: A notable feature is the inclusion of duplex scaling, which tunes the secondary part of the strings to produce sympathetic harmonics that significantly enrich the tone, particularly in the treble section.

Durable & Elegant Construction

The Pearl River GP160SP is built to last and look elegant for years to come.Combining robust construction techniques with refined design, theGP160SP

  • Action and Keybed: The horizontally oriented grand piano action is built with quality hornbeam and beech woods on an extruded aluminum action rail, ensuring a precise and reliable playing experience. The key bed is a durable butcher-block style spruce construction.

  • Pin Block and Plate: A 19-ply, cross-banded maple pin block ensures excellent tuning stability. The plate is traditionally sand-cast and processed by CNC machinery for strength and tonal clarity.

  • Stylish Finish: The piano is available in various polished finishes, such as polished ebony, white, or red, all accented with the distinct silver-plated hardware and inner plate.

  • Safety Feature: A practical slow-close fallboard mechanism is included to protect fingers and prevent the key cover from slamming shut.
